With Covid reportedly producing milder symptoms, the Government’s promise of no more lockdowns, and event organisers offering more flexibility and/or insurance cover in the event of cancellation, we can all start to feel a little more confident about making plans, parting with our hard-earned cash, and giving ourselves something to look forward to in 2022.
To make it easier for you to find an event that may appeal, we have short-listed what we feel to be the best car events so far confirmed for 2022.
2022 WRC
Unfortunately it appears the UK has failed to make an appearance on the 2022 calendar. There is, however, one current vacant date in late August which could be ours for the taking. However, the word is that it will be held in Northern Ireland, not Wales. So if you are a rally fan you may want to keep 18-21st August free, just in case we get lucky!

The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship kicks off its 2022 season on the Donington Park National circuit, with three races this spring.
This will be the start of a new era for the BTCC as the series welcomes the latest generation of hybrid cars. Machinery from Toyota, BMW, Honda and more is expected to appear, with many of the country’s leading drivers behind the wheel.
The meeting will feature a full support programme too, with a wide range of one-make tin top, GT and single-seater races.
