The F&H Group is a hugely successful brand.  The family-run business has expanded over the years and now operates four garages in Fleet and Dogmersfield in Hampshire.

Foster & Heanes has been looking after the automotive needs of customers in the Fleet area since the 1940’s.  Owned and managed by husband and wife team, Bob and Jackie Ravenscroft who have many years of experience in the automotive industry, the company couldn’t be in better hands.

Foster & Heanes now operate from three Service Centres; the original site in Chatter Alley, Dogmerfield – Foster & Heanes MOT and Service Centre, the specialist VW & Alfa Romeo Service Centres in St James Road, Fleet and in 2018 we acquired Hester's Garage in Upper Street, Fleet which offers the full range of garage services, including MOTs.

All garages in the F&H Group are equipped with the latest advances in automotive technology with MOT’s, servicing and repairs being undertaken by a motivated team of highly skilled vehicle technicians.

This combined with the experience brought in by Bob and Jackie, and solid foundations on which the company was formed, are fundamental reasons why Foster & Heanes maintains its reputation as being a leading brand for MOT, service and garage repairs in the Fleet area.

1948 – 2019:  Foster & Heanes – A History to be Proud Of

Foster & Heanes was established in the late forties as a petrol forecourt with sales & repairs, by Jim Heanes & Jack Foster. They took on a BMC franchise and in the early 60's started MOT testing. In the mid 70's the business was bought by Terry & Marion Minter who ran it as an engineering company & maintained the car repair business & MOT station. After Terry’s untimely death in the 90’s, his wife Marion carried on running the garage until 2010 when Bob & Jackie Ravenscroft took over the business. Their aim is to build on the good work of their predecessors and today it continues to thrive as a busy MOT, car service and repair centre.

The petrol pumps are long gone & apart from a few new buildings & some other businesses which also occupy the site, the site remains largely unchanged.

Recent additions are mostly modern equipment, but a new workshop was built to increase the number of cars that can be worked on at the same time.

You can see that the views in 1952 have changed due to the growth of trees and shrubs, making the first photo impossible to recreate today.
